Make a Scarecrow!
Wednesday 27th May 10.30am - 1pm & 2pm - 4.30pm
Cost: £6.50 per child
Did you know the Farm labourers of Somerset had annual gatherings on Ham Hill, in the late 1800's, to rally for a fair wage and a better life? Join us for a day that celebrates this history. Story-time. Scarecrow-making. Flag-making and more scarecrows made if we have time!
We'll meet 10 minutes before the start of each session at the visitor's centre, and take a 5-minutes walk to the Hollow (Outdoor Education Zone). If you have any old clothes that you think will make your scarecrow look like a Victorian farmer scarecrow, bring them along, otherwise we will be providing materials.
